CSS Naked Day

Overview

The CSS Naked Day plugin removes your style sheet for April 5th of every year (at least when the plugin is activated. From http://naked.dustindiaz.com/:

The idea behind this event is to promote Web Standards. Plain and simple.

I just made it more simple. Download, install, and activate the plugin. For all of April 5th (according to your server time), the link to your style sheet will be replaced with ‘#’, which is effectively the equivelent of NULL without breaking anything (hopefully). A kind note will also be injected at the top of the page alert your visitors to the fact that it is CSS Naked Day with a link to learn more. When April 6th rolls around, everything goes back to normal.

CSS Naked Day was originally hosted at http://www.andrewferguson.net/wordpress-plugins/#naked

Original code based on Stephen Clay’s original CSS Naked Day modification for Wordpress.

Changelog

0.2

I was trying to fall asleep and then I had this really great idea on how to get rid of the rest of the style sheets using some quick JavaScript. So now the CSS Naked Day plugin will remove all CSS (in theory). It works in Firefox, but it doesn’t work in IE 7 (which is still in Beta). I think it should work in IE6, but all my roommates are sleeping, so I can’t test it just now. I hope to get a small UI in the next release.
