Description

Currently you can add G+ author information only to posts, not pages. We could add it to pages as well.

Richardmtl, You should use rel=author to your theme pages and rel=me on the author.php page and link that to your G+ profile. I hacked my WP to insert user fields so they could enter their G+ profile page URL. I use that for the value of rel=me on their author page.

  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

Google+ requires pages to display a byline (for example, "By Steven Levy") for Google Authorship to work:

Since Pages do not usually display such bylines (see Twenty Fourteen for example), and since Pages are usually elements that are not linked to a single author (they're site-wide elements, like "Contact" or "About us"), I don't think it makes sense to add the badge to Pages.

There are always exceptions, in which case the trick mentioned above should work.

Closing this as wontfix.
